Arlington Re-Gen: Meet the Design-Build Team

The Arlington Re-Gen project is gaining momentum, and I am excited to share details of the next project milestone! We are using a method of project delivery called design-build, where the design and construction services are completed under a single contract. This allows for a unified flow of work from the initial concept through project completion.

Here at the Arlington Water Pollution Control Plant we treat more than 23 million gallons of wastewater each day from residences and businesses while protecting local waterbodies, including Four Mile Run, the Potomac River and the Chesapeake Bay. This month especially, we’re reminded of our unique role as environmental stewards.

Throughout my career, I have advocated for sustainable treatment processes, and as head of the Arlington County Water Pollution Control Bureau, I am proud to lead an organization that prioritizes sustainability. Innovation is at the core of our ongoing work to protect public health and the environment, and therefore I am particularly excited about the Arlington Re-Gen program.
